The experience of nordic walking is held by an ANVI Instructor. You can choose among different level of difficulty and routes:

you want to learn a new way of experiencing the activity of walking.

1. NORDIC WALKING INTRODUCTION WORKOUT

The experience includes:

  • A course for getting to know Nordic Walking, held by an ANWI Instructor.
  • A 5 kilometre route around the area of Chianciano Terme.
  • At the end of the walk, a dynamic stretching session will be held with the poles.

Duration:  2 hours.
Route length:  5 kilometres.
Difficulty level: Low, the route is mainly flat, with occasional slopes.
Location: Chianciano Terme and surrounding area.
What we’ll see on the route:  The spring of Acqua Del Vivo, the spring of Acqua Dei Fucoli, the spring of Acqua Sillene and an excavation site of an Etruscan temple.
Languages spoken:  Italian and English.
Services included:  Nordic walking poles.
Suitable for children:  Yes, from 12 years of age.
Dogs allowed: Yes.

2. VAL D’ORCIA & BAGNO VIGNONI
WORKOUT
The experience includes:

  • Workout in the Val d’Orcia, held by an ANWI Instructor.
  • The route will consist of an 8 km circuit in the area of Bagno Vignoni.
  • The walk will finish with a dynamic stretching session with the poles.

Duration:  2,5 hours.
Route length:  8 kilometres.
Difficulty level: Expert (demonstrated
through ANWI certificate).
Location: Val d’Orcia / Bagno Vignoni.
What we’ll see on the route:  Hamlet of Bagno Vignoni, Il Parco dei Mulini (watermills), the natural thermal basins and the Gole Dell’Orcia riverbed.
Languages spoken:  Italian and English.
Services included:  Nordic walking poles.
Suitable for children:  Yes, from 12 years of age.
Dogs allowed:  Yes.

3. NORDIC WALKING & BIRDWATCHING WORKOUT
The experience includes:

  • Workout and bird watching sessions held by an ANWI Instructor.
  • The route is a 10 km circuit inside the Nature Reserve of Lago di Montepulciano.
  • The walk will end with a period of dynamic stretching with walking poles.

Duration:  2,5 hours.
Route length:  10 kilometres.
Level: Expert (demonstrated through ANWI certificate.
Difficulty level: Low. The route is generally flat, with a few slopes, but with a reasonable amount of technical importance.
Location: Lago (lake) di Montepulciano.
What we’ll see on the route:  Birdwatching, the main Chiana canal, and the trail of the Sentiero Della Bonifica.
Languages spoken:  Italian and English.
Services included:  Nordic walking poles.
Suitable for children:  Yes, from 12 years of age.
Dogs allowed:  Yes

4. INTENSIVE COURSE
“BE A NORDIC WALKER”
The experience includes:

  • A complete course for Nordic Walking, held by an ANWI Instructor.
  • 3 lessons lasting 2 hrs.
  • At the end of the course you will be issued a diploma stating level certified ANWI and recognized at European level.

Duration:  6 hours in 3 consecutive lessons
Route length: 3,5 km. basic lev.; 3,7 km  lev. 1 ; 3,1 km lev. 2.
Difficulty level: Low.
Introduction to technical and good practice activity
Where: Chianciano Terme and surrounding area.
What we’ll see on the route: source of Fucoli water, source of Sillene water, source of Macerina water, excavations of the Etruscan temple, Etruscan farm.
Languages spoken:  Italian and English.
Services included:  Nordic walking poles.
Suitable for children:  Yes, from 12 years of age.
Dogs allowed:  Yes.
